Now Open!

OWL Special Needs Recreation Centre is a Special Needs Centre situated at 40 Talisman Road in Bedfordview.

At the Recreation Centre we strive to provide young adults with special needs – the best equipment and stimulation possible, specifically to their individual needs. We accommodate young adults from 18 years and older.

OWL Special Needs Recreation Centre is not an educational school, but a recreational centre where young adults are able to become regular members. Our aim is to provide a safe place for young adults to come together and enjoy fun activities while learning designated essential life skills.  A safe haven where they can feel motivated and proud of themselves. A place where they feel they have a purpose and a sense of responsibility – inclusive of acceptance within their own communities.

We have scheduled programs which include activities in respect of daily living and everyday tasks. Classes include cooking, computer literacy and general safety procedures. Guidelines on budgeting and saving will also be provided. In total we have 75 different subject matters regarding ADL. However the most important facet is a place where individuals can come together and have fun with arts and crafts, games and much more.
